Traveling to Kyoto, April 2007
Trains are probably our favorite way to travel. There is so much to see, and it's such a roomy, relaxing way to do it. Every passing moment brings another interesting scene into view. The clean lines of this storage building in Japan and the controlled fancifulness of the garden plantings speak so clearly to the culture.

I do love those twisty tree trunks and the beautiful stone work.
You know this means I'll now have to go through the entire set of photos to see if I might have caught an errant gnome, don't you?
