Ah, sunshine. Sweet, glorious sunshine. Sunshine!
Gary and I took a quick bus ride to Oita to retrieve my camera battery recharger and battery, where the first-rate Sonic 37 crew left it for us at the Lost & Found. I am thrilled to be able to continue the photo rampage. My photo count hovers around 2300 so far. All of them are superb, no doubt, so editing will be painful. But edit I shall. Some of you may be enlisted to help. Please stand by.
My bet is, students who pulled an all-nighter cramming and have now completed their exams.
Nice view of Beppu, if you disregard the power lines.
Me: "Should I post this?"
Gary: "Why? It looks just like Florida."
Me: "Exactly."
Back at the inn now, we can report that today is perfectly sunny (did I mention sunshine?) and the bay is calm as can be. Fishing boats dot the water, which reminds me we need to arrange a short trip out for Father. Or at least some fishing from the pier.
Family-wise, Cousin Tsurue should already be here, which may explain where everyone else is. Aunt Fuchan and Uncle Hiko should be here by 2pm. Guess I'd better try to figure out where everyone is. Sayonara for now.
